Dear Brothers, As we have explained in our November edition of the newsletter, the Arrow is "Going Green". This means that starting with the next edition that will be sent in spring, we will be using electronic distribution as our primary method. For those who are not ready to make this transition, we will continue offering regular paper mailings at no extra cost. Why is this switch taking place? - Saves money used for mailing paper copies - this keeps annual dues low.
- Gets you the information much faster
- Allows you to view images in high quality color
- Saves paper and helps the environment
- Information is always available for everyone
What do you mean by "electronic distribution"? The Arrow will be posted regularly on WQ23.org and distributed through our lodge Facebook page (if you are not a fan yet you can become one here!). We will also be e-mailing all current dues-paying members a link to the latest edition as soon as it becomes available. If you haven't attended a lodge event recently and want to verify that we have the correct information, please e-mail

and include all of your current contact information, especially e-mail address, so that we can update the database. I'm not ready for this switch, how can I still receive paper copies? That is perfectly fine - to continue receiving paper editions, please e-mail

. There will also be an annual dues renewal form getting sent out soon, which will include a check box for you to opt to receive paper newsletters. Does this affect my annual dues? Your dues will remain at $13 in 2010 regardless of your delivery choice. However by not embracing the green solution, the dues for the next year will likely have to go up for all the members. We have a responsibility to each other to try to keep expenses as low as possible so please do your part and go green if you can. *UPDATE* 3/31/10 The first green mailing has been sent out via email successfully.
If you have any questions, comments, or concerns, please do not hesitate to ask! We want this transition to be as smooth for everyone as possible. Questions can be directed to the Publications Chairman, Tad Dieken -
